Faith of the Failures

August 25th, 2010 · No Comments · Christianity, Church, Faith

It isn’t interesting that we look up to those in our present day who seem to be getting it all right. Why wouldn’t and why shouldn’t we? They are doing well, they show us we can do better than we are currently achieving. It is not per-se inspirational… but it is something to try and [...]

Young Nation

December 4th, 2009 · No Comments · Christianity, Education, Grace

I have been thinking a lot about the USA lately and how young it is. Not even a quarter of a millenium yet. A baby really in light of other civilizations. Don’t get me wrong I love my country and would not hesitate to defend it. However, I cannot in good conscience also defend the [...]

Time is passing

December 1st, 2009 · No Comments · Faith, Fun, Life

And I have been looking at this year and its events. I celebrated 1 year of marriage, turned 25 (now I can rent cars cheap), moved to a new town. Moved into a new work industry. And will be celebrating my 4th christmas with my new family. I would call this a year of successes.

A new sound

September 20th, 2009 · No Comments · Church, Ministry, Music

It is a joy this morning to worship in a new environment and listen to a sound mix produced by a professional. I will link him later. Needless to say jeremy does an awesome job and really helps worship really hit that next level. So far I am really enjoying my visit to Sunridge Community [...]

What do you have to offer?

August 28th, 2009 · 1 Comment · Christianity, Church, God, Ministry

So I spend my mornings drinking coffee, trying to translate ancient Hebrew, and finding new apps for my iPod touch. And I find myself wondering today what I will do with what I study. I know that I need to use what God has given me to further His kingdom. And as I review what [...]

Prayer Comes Through

November 7th, 2008 · No Comments · Faith, Prayer

I just wanted to share a story that happened last week. Sunday I was writing my tithe check, and I was arguing with God over a difference of $50 in the total.  I had the whole check written; Date, Addressee, Note, Signature, everything but the amount. Karina was practically in tears watching my silent struggle [...]

Something I read on myspace regarding the election

November 6th, 2008 · 1 Comment · Christianity, Politics

Karina was going through her myspace bulletins from friends after the election.  One of them, Joshua, put this up and I just really enjoyed his take on the election. His willingness to embrace and love our new president in such a Christ-like manner.  It was very refreshing. First off I’d like to say congratulations to [...]

Feeling Better Already

June 29th, 2008 · No Comments · Christianity, Coffee, God, Hebrew, Quiet, Starbucks

So I know I asked you to ask me last night. But I have to say I am feeling so refreshed now from my quiet times. Not because I have managed to do them for 2 consecutive days (which is an accomplishment) but because I have managed to not give them a time limit. Twice [...]

Getting back on track

June 29th, 2008 · No Comments · Christianity, God, Hebrew

I suck at quiet times. I get them started, then I fall off. Normally I would make excuses about how busy I am, or how I can never find something to study or be worth my while. Etc. etc. etc… It is very lame. So I have started again. And I need your help. I [...]

God as a Product

June 21st, 2008 · No Comments · Christianity, Church, God, Theology

Sometimes I feel like when I am trying to explain who God is, I am the stereotypical East-Indian customer service representative trying to speak what I think is perfect English to someone who is hearing it with extreme difficulty and irritation. Its like I have a Christian accent… and it is thick. So everything I [...]
